Microdermabrasion is a facial cosmetic treatment that involves moving diamond grains across the skin via a small stainless steel head to remove dead skin cells. The dead skin cells layer is then taken away which further helps ensure the better mechanic exfoliation through Microdermabrasion. This process ensures the regeneration and rejuvenation of the face skin cells and stimulates the growth of elastin fibres.
Microdermabrasion is an aesthetic procedure which stimulates the production of new cells and accelerates the production of collagen and elastin as negative pressure (suction) is applied simultaneously with diamond abrasive disks. The exfoliation of the superficial layers of the skin is improved significantly.
What happens during a microdermabrasion treatment?
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive therapy that affects only the superficial layers of the skin. A machine is used to emit fine crystals through a handheld wand that allows access and treatment of the most delicate areas such as the folds around the nose, the lines under the eyes, the corners of the mouth. Before a Microdermabrasion session takes place the skin needs to be thoroughly cleansed with professional products. In the case of dry skin, a moisturizing cream needs to be used before applying the abrasive diamond powder with the help of facial wipes.
